Aprianto & Sherynne

Things you might want to know leading up to 4 November 2023

Please come back to our website for more updates as we'll be adding more details leading up to the day

About Us

1.When did Anto and Sherynne first say hello to each other?

A) While Anto was serving up goodness at KFC and Sherynne had a serious case of fried chicken appreciation (not Anto's handsomeness)

B) After an extended period of "Facebook observance", Sherynne finally 'slid into his DMs' (this is the modern-day equivalent of sending a message in a bottle only more tech-savvy and romantic)

C) While Anto was showing off his dance moves with another girl (Anto's a really bad dancer btw)

2. What was Anto's first impression of Sherynne?

A) Impressively annoying

B) Cosmic cuteness overload

C) Not my type

3. What was the first heartwarming thing Sherynne did that made Anto cry?

A) She made a bowl of instant noodles for Anto's breakfast (Indomie goreng) and left a note that read "Wife material"

B) She introduced Game of Thrones to Anto and he said "You're the most epic thing to ever grace my existence"

C) She bought 20 gifts for Anto (with her parents money) and wrote 20 birthday messages to make up for every birthday he celebrated without her

4. Where did Anto take Sherynne to have dinner on their first date?

A) KFC (Anto used his staff discount and was convinced that any girl willing to dine at KFC for a first date was a true gem)

B) He didn't take her out. He made her his specialty Kung Pao chicken that was completely inedible

C) To eat spicy chicken feet because he thought all Asians liked chicken feet (well... this was until he met Sherynne)

Hint: The answer to every question is "C"

Attire

Our dress code is set, so you’ll know what to wear,

Semi-formal or dressy casual attire, with style and flair.

We’ll be having a semi-outdoor wedding,

So, dress for the location – breezy and relaxing, weather permitting.

Ladies, leave behind the heavy gowns that sweep the floor,

Embrace lightweight fabrics and airy silhouettes you adore.

Gentlemen, dress shirts, slacks or a casual suit is fine,

Even if you turn up in shorts and slippers, we know you'll still look divine.

We’ve got less than a month to go, much left to do,

But we can’t wait to celebrate with each and everyone one of you.

Visas and Immigration

Do you need a visa?

ASEAN travellers don't require a visa to enter Bali, Indonesia.

If you are travelling on a NZ, AUS, EU, UK passport, you'll need to apply for a Visa-on-Arrival (VOA). You can do this via Indonesia's official Immigration website https://www.imigrasi.go.id/en/e-voa/

We encourage friends and family travelling with the above passports to apply for an electronic VOA prior to entering Indonesia. This will cost $35 USD or 500.000 IDR.

Customs Declaration

International travellers should complete an electronic customs declaration (E-CD) just before departing or upon entering Indonesia. You can do this by visiting https://ecd.beacukai.go.id/

Getting to Tirtha

We have arranged multiple wedding shuttles to transport our guests from Four Points Ungasan, to Tirtha Uluwatu and back. Four Points Ungasan will be the sole pick-up and drop-off location. We are looking into organising several pick-up times for guests. At the moment, these times are 2:30pm (family only) and 4:00pm. It takes about 30 minutes (with traffic) to get from Four Points to the venue.

You may also opt to drive yourself or book a Grab car if it's more convenient for you. Just search 'Tirtha Uluwatu' on your online map. Parking is available at the venue.

Schedule on the Wedding Day/Jadwal Hari-H*

Tea Pai Ceremony/Acara Tea Pai, 3:30pm

Heaven Room, Level 2. This event is for family members only. Family, be prepared for small shots... of tea.

Commitment Ceremony/Acara Chapel, 5:00pm

This will be held at Tirtha's Chapel. Attendance is optional. We are already legally married, so this event is primarily for Anto to lovingly remind Sherynne of how well she masters the art of daily annoyance and Sherynne's chance to pledge her commitment to this skill.

Cocktails and Canapes/Jam Cocktail, 5:45pm

This will be held in Tirtha's garden area, weather permitting. Arrive by 5:30pm to capture your mandatory sunset photo.

Dinner/Makan Malam, 7:00pm

Conversations, cake, more drinks, speeches, lots of fun and more photos (it'll be nothing like the red wedding from Game of Thrones). Sherynne's also still trying to convince Anto to have their first dance.

Send off, 10:00pm

Shuttles will be available to take guests back to Four Points at different times. Senior family members are welcome to depart first so Anto and Sherynne can clean up... the drinks area.

*This is currently a preliminary schedule for the day.

We will send out a finalised rundown by October 13th. Surprisingly, we’re not feeling too stressed, but we’re not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.

Transport and getting around Bali

Renting a car/private driver

Hiring a driver with a 4-6 seater vehicle generally costs around IDR 700.000 for about 10 hours. This will include a driver, the rented vehicle and petrol. You could try contacting someone we're familiar with under the name Fen Ling if this is what you'd like. Her contact details are +62 813 222 18406.

You could also opt to drive around if you're comfortable. However, you should note that most vehicles in Indonesia are manual, the roads are narrow, the traffic can be overwhelming and there are hills... everywhere.

On a scooter

Uluwatu is spread out over vast terrains with wide roads. If you know how to ride a two-wheeled vehicle, you could rent a scooter to avoid traffic (motorbike rental services are everywhere). It's also the best way to find hidden bays and undiscovered clifftops! Just make sure you wear a helmet, have a licence and know how to ride safely. The daily rental rate for a basic scooter is around IDR100.000 - 120.000.

Transportation from the International Airport

Taxi

It shouldn't cost more than IDR300.000 (for 4 pax) to get from the airport to the Uluwatu area. If you'd like to get around by taxi, we recommend using a reputable company such as Bluebird. Private (non-taxi) drivers are available as you exit the airport but you should negotiate.

Grab

If you're more tech-savvy than our parents, download and use the Grab application on your phone. It's the Southeast Asian equivalent of Uber.

Not confident with using Grab? There's a Grab Lounge with staff that can help at Ngurah Rai International Airport. Walk out of Ngurah Rai airport until you see Starbucks on your left and people shouting "taxi" to your right. Go through the Balinese arch that will be on your right as you exit and walk straight until you see a convenience store, Circle K. The Grab Lounge is to the right of Circkle K. You can ask a Grab staff member to help you get a ride to your destination, but make sure you've downloaded and set up the application on your phone.

Where to Stay

We suggest considering accommodations near the venue preferably in the Uluwatu or Jimbaran area. Bali's traffic can be chaotic, and staying closer will enhance your convenience. Additionally, we've arranged transport from Four Points Ungasan to Tirtha Uluwatu on November 4th.

Four Points Ungasan

If you have not sorted accommodation, discounted room rates are available at Four Points, Ungasan. You may email Kartika.Atnaya@fourpoints.com or WhatsApp +62-822-3306-5369 and reference #AntoSherWedding2023 for your discounted rate. Let Ms Kartika know your length of stay and what kind of room you'd like.

With the booking reference, you'll be able to access the following rates (inclusive of breakfast for two):

Superior room: IDR 850.000 Nett/Night

Deluxe room : IDR 950.000 Nett/Night

Airbnb

Staying at an Airbnb is also a viable choice, especially if you're travelling in larger group.
